MONKEYHUB INSTITUTE
Independent Research into the Future of Creation
What we are
We explore how human imagination, intelligent agents, and computation can create worlds beyond the limits of today's tools.
We believe the next generation of creative systems will be defined not by any single tool, but by how people, intelligent agents, and computational environments work together.
How we work
Our research explores three connected frontiers.
- DESIGN WITH MEMORYBuilding systems that preserve intent, decisions, and relationships as designs evolve.
- COMPUTATION BEYOND MACHINESExploring how computational work can move across devices and environments without binding creation to one machine.
- HUMAN IMAGINATION AT THE CENTERDeveloping ways for people to direct, evaluate, and reshape the work of intelligent systems.
Our projects test how new creative systems perform beyond isolated demonstrations, in the complexity of actual design and production.
A model is a hypothesis. A drawing is an instruction. A built object is an encounter with reality.
We document the research, experiments, prototypes, and decisions behind our work — making the journey as important as the outcome.
MonkeyHub, the software
MonkeyHub is the design workbench we build and use: an AI proposes candidates; people review, annotate and decide on a Board; models, drawings and version history stay in the same project.
MonkeyMesh, an idea for sharing computation across machines, is a proposal. It has not been built.
Build the next chapter with us
We welcome researchers, designers, developers, and creators who share our curiosity about what comes next.
